A Manaiakalani Rangitāmiro Project - Yr 13 Biology
The aim of this Rangitāmiro Project is to;
Support extended discussions both in class and online through blog posts
Develop students' critical literacy skills
Enhanced student engagement
Deepening students’ understanding
Provide Cybersmart learning opportunities
Interested teachers are meeting on a regular basis to discuss how we can collaborate our expertise to bring this project to fruition.
Teachers are planning in term one with a view to teaching AS 91607 Demonstrate understanding of human manipulations of genetic transfer and its biological implications at the same time in term two.
A couple of teachers are also considering combining this achievement standard with AS 91602 Integrate biological knowledge to develop an informed response to a socio-scientific issue.
