Our recent Secondary Teachers’ Summit was a highly successful day of professional learning, with participants highlighting the practical, hands-on opportunities to explore how AI tools can enhance teaching and learning. Teachers valued learning how to use Gemini, Canvas, and NotebookLM to streamline planning, create differentiated and engaging resources, support diverse learners, and give students new ways to learn independently.
Many appreciated the chance to “try as we learn,” gaining confidence through guided practice while collaborating with colleagues from across the motu. The feedback was clear: educators are excited by the possibilities of these tools to reduce workload, increase creativity, and open new pathways for future-focused learning.
